What is Apple Intelligence?

Apple Intelligence is Apple's on-device AI that runs entirely on your device. It's available on supported devices running iOS 26 or later. When using Apple Intelligence, no data is sent to external servers.

Is my data sent to external servers?

When using the OpenAI provider, your chat messages are sent to OpenAI's servers to generate responses. When using Apple Intelligence, all processing happens on your device. Your API key is stored securely in the device Keychain and is never sent to anyone other than OpenAI. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

Is my API key safe?

Yes. Your API key is stored in the device's Keychain, which is Apple's secure credential storage. It is only sent directly to OpenAI for authentication and is never shared with the developer or any third party.

Can I delete my chat history?
